Kingsbarn Secures City Council Approval For The Maple Multifamily Community in Downtown Escondido, California
Escondido, California (February 10, 2026) — Kingsbarn Capital & Development (“Company” or “Kingsbarn”) is pleased to announce that on January 28, 2026, the Escondido City Council approved Kingsbarn’s latest real estate development project, The Maple. The Maple is a Class-A, 128-unit apartment community to be built on the best one-acre site in Escondido.
The site is located at the corner of East Valley Parkway and Maple Plaza, which is directly across the street from City Hall and adjacent to West Grand Avenue, the main street of Escondido. This luxury apartment community will feature 128 rental apartments consisting of 19 studios (512 square feet), 62 one-bedroom units (686 square feet), and 47 two-bedroom units (978 square feet), all with smart-home features and built to U.S. Green Building Standards.
The common area amenities will have a resort-style feel consisting of a pool, spa, clubhouse, gourmet entertaining kitchen, fitness center, BBQ area, Zen garden, fire pits, conference room, business center, pet run and spa, Amazon delivery lockers, bike storage and storage lockers. The Maple will have 113 parking stalls on the first floor with four floors of residential units above.
The Maple is designed to complement its downtown location, with an entrance just off Maple Plaza that prioritizes pedestrian-friendly access. “We are so pleased to be developing a quality in-fill apartment development ideally located in the heart of downtown Escondido and only a four-block walk to the Escondido Transit Center,” said Phil Mader, President of Kingsbarn Capital and Development.
